Will you be changing the way you treat Jellyfish stings (see link)?

When I went to Australia all the beaches had bottles of vinegar in emergency packs to be used if you are stung by jelly fish. Out there they have the really tiny box jelly fish that is so small you can barely see it but the sting can be fatal so they take it very seriously. I have noticed more jelly fish this year when I have been at the seaside, we saw loads washed up on the beach in Wales in May.
My sister was stung by a Portuguese Man o' War when we were kids, had to go to hospital. Now isn't that interesting? I see the article says "the belief that urinating on a jellyfish sting will lessen its pain became far more widespread after it featured in an episode of the American sitcom Friends." Anybody who watches Friends deserves to be pissed on, in my opinion.
Errr, just how stupid are the British?, I knew 30 years ago to apply vinegar, we were told this because 6 months of the year you couldnt go swimming in the sea in Darwin because of the Box Jellyfish and so you would carry a bottle of vinegar with your during the in between months just in case.



Suddenly its this big discovery???

Jelly fish never bother me, I never swim in the sea.



Jelly fish are a common phenomenon each summer around the coasts of Britain - we must be entering the "Silly Season" for the press to now be focusing on such a story.



The jelly fish in question could easily fit into the palm of your hand. We're not talking about Portuguese Men of War jelly fish - the kind that sting and almost kill.

Chinese is treating jellyfish with vinegar and sesame seed oil : it is a famous dish and can be extended to make jellyfish salad.
I won't. Peeing on jsellyfish stings works fine for me, and if you get to stand on a weever fish you will be grateful for a full bladder. Even if its someone elses
We always use Red Wine, which I suppose in some cases is not far from being vinegar.
