So were the Norwegian bombings firstly blamed on Muslims?

-The news kept on referring to extremist Muslims group despite the Nowegian websites and papers saying it was an Norwegian male who has been charged with the murders. We are so stereotypical, and now that it shows even Christian extremists exists, people are still trying to say Muslims have something to do with it. The news show that it could have been Muslims.

I hope Norway recovers from this tragedy, as they were lovely people, and do not deserve this.But when it was found not to be a Muslim, there were still those who blamed them indiirectly, saying the killer had been driven to this state by seeing the mass immigration of Muslims into Norway. Less than 3% of the Norwegian population is Muslim.



This was a lone nutter, driven by mental illness. The fact that he was Christian and held far-right views did not cause this - his mental instability did.
I first read about it in a newspaper and it said that it was a Muslim and that the attack was in retaliation to the depiction of the prophet Mohammed in a magazine....



When i got home i looked online and found out it was a Christian.



Its so sad, and wrong that people jump to conclusions maybe this will teach people a lesson!
The terrorist was a CHRISTIAN. There are also images of him.

People will try to blame Islam for this attack. Typical Media.



I wonder if the "He doesn't represent Christianity" people will now apply the same thinking to Islamic terrorists.
Several islamic terrorist groups were logically named by the media yesterday as likely suspects. One even claimed responsibility. Now we know there was one, maybe two, killers. Unfortunately now people can refer to this tragedy to excuse their support for islamic terrorist groups.
Because the media always needs an exotic enemy to get people to fear and hate, so they accept whatever their leaders want for them, which is rarely in their best interest ....
At no time did the Norwegians claim that the bombing and the shootings had been carried out by a Muslim or Muslim Extremists. What we were told from the outset is that they did not know who was responsible and the matter was being investigated.



A Nordic Viking was arrested by the Norwegian Police - who have subsequently issued a statement saying that this man acting alone was responsible for the explosion and the shootings of some eighty (80) teens - the death toll (I think) now ninety (90) - including those killed in the bomb blast and those who have subsequently died of their injuries (wounds).



The arrested man is said to have purchased several tonnes of fertiliser a few days before blowing up the bomb he made using it.



Norway does not have any secret service to speak of. They do not have much CCTV either, as far as I know.



The annoying thing is reading one American rant on here demanding to know what we, the British, now think of Muslims.



As a Leveller, I believe people are free to worship any God they choose or not. Religious tolerance is very high on the list of things I believe in. I come from a very long line of assorted Quakers, Levellers and in the late 19thC Welsh Methodists.



I'm of the opinion that we are all God's Children and must love each other.



What amazes me most, is that so many Americans seem not to know anything about where their entire system is coming from. These links will explain.

Well it would seem that Christians don't commit acts of terrorism in the name of Jesus, they have a tendency to commit such acts in the name of politics.However Muslim clerics are constantly waving the sword at what they call the infidel.So when someone of the Muslim faith kills a infidel in name of Mohamed and their clerics make no denouncement of such actions, it can, therefore be reasonably argued, that those of the same religion are in agreement with such acts.It's called being guilty by association. The Norwegian in question it not a religious nut, but a right wing radical, A'la Black shirt.

Yes the press did speculate on the Muslim theory, not surprising really, considering that Muslim take responsibility for the most of the terrorist acts committed in the world today, but the Norwegian police didn't at any time give any indication of who they thought was behind the Oslo killings.
People tend to scapegoat the easy victims.

It was immedeatly called as a Neo-Nazi, or that the killings has to do with Muslims.



None of them is true. First of all because the killer was Anti-Muslim , and also because he was a Pro-Israel supporter.
